(e.g. a sales point away from the pub), OR drunk
but not sold (e.g. a beer garden or family
room). 14 or 15 They can go anywhere in a pub
but can't drink alcohol. 16 or 17 They can
buy (or be bought) beer or cider so long as it's
bought to drink with a meal, but not in a bar
(i.e. only in a place specifically set aside for
meals). Under 18 With the exception of having
a meal in a pub, it's against the law for anyone

can buy and drink alcohol legally in licensed

should not be confused with the other main kind of
steroids, known as Corticosteroids, which are
used to treat medical conditions such as asthma,
eczema and skin inflammations.

CANNABISCannabis is the most widely used
illegal drug in Britain. Made from parts of the
cannabis plant, it is one of the naturally
occurring drugs. It has a mild sedative effect
(often causing a feeling of inertia or actual
sleepiness) and it is also a very mild
hallucinogen (meaning you may experience a state
where you see objects and reality in a distorted
way and may even hallucinate). The main active
compound in cannabis is called
tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Modern hybrid forms of
cannabis, of which the most well known is Skunk
are common now and are often related in the media
to mental health problems. Scientific evidence
suggests that this is not actually the case and
that the link is in fact very weak.
